Re-election ore-dressing process
Gravity separation is one of the earliest mineral-processing techniques. It exploits differences in density among minerals by leveraging the varying gravitational, hydrodynamic, or mechanical forces they experience in a moving medium, thereby achieving density-based separation of mineral particles. This method continues to hold a significant position in modern mineral-processing practices.
Guangxi Nanke Heavy Industry Machinery Co., Ltd. has continuously intensified its research and development efforts in gravity separation technologies, innovating process flows and systems. Through years of exploration and practical application, the laboratory has steadily refined gravity separation processes, with the aim of providing customers with more environmentally friendly and efficient mineral processing solutions.

(2) Ore that can be processed
Gravity separation is widely used in the processing of gold, tungsten, tin, manganese, mercury, titanium, lead, tantalum–niobium, galena, barite, fluorite, pyrite, limonite, hematite, antimony, chromium, and ferrous metal ores.
Re-election Case-- 1,500 t/d Tin Ore Gravity Separation Plant Project in Malaysia
Ore properties: The ore in this project is cassiterite-bearing polymetallic sulfide ore. The principal metallic minerals are cassiterite, pyrite, and sphalerite.
Project Issues: Metallic minerals are unevenly disseminated, with most occurring as aggregates that are impregnated within the gangue or country rock, and these aggregates are generally coarse-grained. Tin mineralization is distributed in banded patterns of varying grain size, occurring in alternating enclaves with various sulfides, particularly pyrite, and rarely intergrown with the gangue.
Nanke Heavy Industry Proposal: A combined process comprising heavy-media pre-selection, gravity separation–flotation–gravity separation is employed. In view of the fine particle size and slow settling velocity of tin ore slimes, a centrifugal concentrator is used for rough concentration to discard a large volume of tailings. In addition, 6S shaking tables are utilized to treat the tailings from the centrifugal concentrator as well as those from the rough and fine spiral chutes, thereby simplifying the production flow, preventing the vicious cycle of middlings, and maximizing tin recovery. Compared with a single-stage tin concentrate beneficiation process, the gravity separation stage increases the recovery rate by 5–10% and the run-of-mine recovery rate by 1.5–2.0%.
Process indicators: Raw ore grade: 0.56%; concentrate grade: 71.32%; recovery rate: 87.34%.
