Gold Ore Beneficiation Production Line Solutions

Flotation is the most widely used mineral-processing method in gold concentrators for treating hard-rock gold ores, particularly those containing highly floatable sulfide minerals. The flotation process can maximize the recovery of gold into the sulfide concentrate, allowing the tailings to be directly discarded, thereby reducing beneficiation costs. In China, 80% of hard-rock gold ores are processed using this method.

【Process Introduction】:
Flotation is the most widely used mineral-processing method for hard-rock gold ores in gold concentrators, particularly for treating gold-bearing sulfide ores with high floatability. The flotation process can maximize the recovery of gold into the sulfide minerals, allowing the tailings to be directly discarded, thereby reducing beneficiation costs. In China, 80% of hard-rock gold deposits are processed using this method.

Gold Ore Flotation Process
Flotation of gold minerals typically employs a single-stage grinding–flotation flow sheet; for ores with uneven particle size distribution, a staged grinding–flotation process may be adopted. In China, the conventional practice is to use a single-stage grinding–flotation–flotation flow sheet to achieve the enrichment of valuable minerals.

Grinding fineness requirements for gold mines
In gold mining, the required grinding fineness generally depends on the mineralogical association of gold: when gold is encapsulated within sulfide minerals, achieving single-mineral liberation of the sulfides is sufficient; however, when gold is intergrown with gangue minerals, the grinding must be refined to the point of complete single-mineral liberation of gold. In addition, the optimal grinding fineness for any given mineral is determined through laboratory testing.

Concentration Requirements for Gold Ore Flotation Slurry
The principle of gold flotation is as follows: for the flotation of high-density, coarse-grained minerals, a relatively concentrated pulp is typically used; conversely, when floating low-density, fine-grained minerals and slime, a more dilute pulp is employed. Using a higher concentration for roughing helps ensure a higher recovery rate, while employing a lower concentration during cleaning is conducive to improving concentrate quality.

【Application Fields】:

The gold flotation process is suitable for treating fine-grained, highly floatable sulfide-bearing quartz vein ores, polymetallic gold-bearing sulfide ores, and carbonaceous (graphite-bearing) ores, among others.
