Cyanide Gold Extraction Process
The filterless cyanide carbon-in-pulp process for the direct adsorption and recovery of gold from cyanide leach pulp involves seven operational stages: preparation of the leaching pulp, cyanide leaching, activated carbon adsorption, desorption of gold-loaded carbon, electro-winning to obtain gold concentrate, regeneration and recycling of the gold-loaded carbon, and treatment of the leaching pulp.

【Process Introduction】:
The filterless cyanide carbon-in-pulp process for the direct adsorption and recovery of gold from cyanide leach pulp involves seven operational stages: preparation of the leaching pulp, cyanide leaching, activated carbon adsorption, desorption of gold-loaded carbon, electro-winning to obtain gold mud, regeneration and recycling of the gold-loaded carbon, and treatment of the leaching pulp.
Pulp impurity removal
Before adsorption, the cyanide leach slurry must be treated to remove impurities such as wood chips, to prevent wood chips from adsorbing gold from the slurry and contaminating the carbon-rich stream with activated carbon, and to avoid blockage of the carbon-retention screen by wood chips.
Leaching and Adsorption
Activated carbon is added to the leaching tank, where it adsorbs gold from the ore pulp to form gold-loaded carbon. After adsorption is complete, a carbon-raising screen is used to separate the activated carbon from the ore pulp.
Desorption Electrolysis
Within a closed system, gold-loaded carbon can be rapidly desorbed and electrochemically reduced to gold mud and spent carbon under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions.
smelting
The resulting gold mud, after simple acid leaching to remove impurities, can be directly smelted into gold ingots.
High-efficiency, low-consumption, rapid desorption electrolysis system
This system features high-temperature, high-pressure, cyanide-free operation and automated desorption control, offering high efficiency, rapid processing, and low energy consumption.
• High efficiency: When the gold-bearing carbon grade reaches 3,000 g/t, the desorption rate can exceed 96%, and the carbon lean-out grade can be reduced by 50%–75% compared with conventional desorption-electrolysis systems.
• Rapid: The desorption electrolysis temperature can reach up to 150°C (30–55°C higher than that of other models), and the system operating pressure can go as high as 0.5 MPa (0.2–0.5 MPa higher than other models). As a result, the desorption electrolysis cycle is significantly shortened, typically to 12 hours—a reduction of 50%–75%.
• Low energy consumption: With the same desorption and electrolysis temperature, no heat exchange is required; moreover, due to the rapid operation, the total power consumption is only 1/2 to 1/4 of that of conventional systems.
• Cyanide-free: No sodium hydride is required in the desorption solution, resulting in low cost and zero pollution.
• Quality: Gold mud boasts high quality and requires no counter-electrolysis, making gold mud extraction straightforward.
• Automatic Control: Specifically equipped with a liquid-level control system, a temperature control system, and an automatic control system.
• Safety: Features triple safety protection measures, including intelligent system control, an automatic pressure-limiting and pressure-relief mechanism, and a safety relief valve.
【Application Fields】:
The gold ore beneficiation production line is primarily suitable for two types of ore: one is flotation gold concentrate or amalgamation and gravity separation tailings, and the other is clayey oxide ore.
